Men & Women

Bored, yet again.. Finding it hard to get some sleep,I start going through these complex mesh of webpages hoping to find something that would make me kill sometime. And here I end up catching sight of something which brought some smile..

Going through www.thinkexist.com, my eye captured the topic "Men and Women".. Let me share some of the quotes which I found to be little funny..

“They keep saying the right person will come along, I think mine got hit by a truck.”

“According to a recent survey, men say the first thing they notice about a woman is their eyes, and women say the first thing they notice about men is they're a bunch of liars”

“Women have a wonderful instinct about things. They can discover everything except the obvious.”

“Women always worry about the things that men forget; men always worry about the things women remember”

“When a man opens a car door for his wife, it's either a new car or a new wife.”

“An archaeologist is the best husband a woman can have. The older she gets the more interested he is in her.”

“The man who can smile when things go wrong has thought of someone else he can blame it on.”

“A foolish man tells a woman to stop talking, but a wise man tells her that her mouth is extremely beautiful when her lips are closed”

Finally, my favourite of all

“When a man gets up to speak, people listen, then look. When a woman gets up, people look; then, if they like what they see, they listen.”

Worth a Reading !!!..

I happened to see this quote while I was browsing.. Its just plain awesome !!.. Hope people reading this would love it too...

"I miss you when something really good happens, because you are the one I want to share it with. I miss you when something is troubling me, because you are the one who understands me so well. I miss you when I laugh and cry because i know that you are the one that makes my laughter grow and my tears disappear. I miss you all the time, but I miss you most when i lay awake at night and think of all the wonderful times we spent with eachother;for those were some of the best times of my life.”

I dedicate this post to THE ONE !!!.. And unfortunately, that position is still vacant !! :) .. Wait, hang on, just a second, should I have mentioned that I was "fortunate" in the previous sentence ;) !!.. LOL.. Ciao !!!

Iruvar - - - Entire Poem at the Climax..

Well I had posted only a few lines from the climax in the last post.. I felt I wasn't doing justice by cutting lines from the dialogue, so I ll post the entire dialogue in this post.. It goes like this..

Ennarum thozhane,idayathu nanbane !
Manikka mazhayae,maraindhu vittaya?
Munnoru pozhudil,meesai mulaikkira vayadil,
Or ilayil sorundom..
Oru paayil kan malarndom..

Nam kangal vevveru,kanavugal onrundaan!!
Nam nejnam vevveru, ninaivugal onrudhaan!!
Nam kottaigal vevvru, kozhgaigal onrudhaa!!

Edhilum mundi vara thudikkum munaipullavane..
Saavilum ennai mundi sarithiram ayinayo?

En vetrikku malai thanda karam enge?
En vizhi neerai sunditivitta viral enge?
Kuzhal konda isayaaga konjunginra kural enge?
En muthuvel vasanathai muthamitta uthadu enge?
Ennai oor naal sumandu yetri vandda thol enge?

Ini paarkave mattaya nanba?

Ellin munai alavum ippozhudu kasappillai

Nalindu vitta udal varudi nalam ketka thudithen, mudiyavillai

Poi vaa nanba poi vaa..

Un pakktahil enakkum oru padukkai virithu vai
Enrenum oru naal un arugil naan varuven
Innoru ponneram ennai thedi vanthaal
Kaalam oru sengolai en kaiyil thandaal
Un kanavum en kanavunm oru pozhudil niraiverum
Un kallarayin kaadhugalil nalla seidhi arangerum!!!!
I hope everyone likes this dialogue as I do !!! :)

Iruvar - - - A Master Piece ...

I happened to see this movie only after 12 long years from its release date.. Indeed, it was one of the best movies I have ever seen.. I was moved to tears when the movie ended.. Hats off to Mani Ratnam for this excellent movie.. The sad part is that, there are only a handful of people among the entire tamil population who love such kind of movies..  This movie  is a fictional story of the lead politicians of Tamil Nadu, M.G.R and M.Karunanidhi...
This movie had the right proportion of everything.. It had the fine depictions of  friendship, love, pain, hurt, jealousy, betrayal, leadership, loss, disappointment, trust, victory etc... The short poem depicting love between Prakash Raj (Tamizhselvan in the movie) and Tabu was very well written.. It goes like

The best scene which I loved in the movie was when Mohanlal (Anandhan in the movie) asks the people in the car to step down when they start talking bad about Prakash Raj who was his close friend..  The climax was even more touching.. Prakash Raj and Mohanlal, who were once best friends, developed active enmity during the course of time.. But still,Prakash Raj on hearing Mohanlal's death gets shocked and leaves to the ceremony to pay his final respect which emphasized the height of humanity in the character...  The short poem at the climax of the movie deserves mention.. I will quote some of the best lines which I liked from the climax..

Ellin munai alavum ippozhudu kasappillai
Pullin nuni alavum ippozhudu pagai illai
Maranathai pola en manathirkku marundillai
Unnodu oru vaarthai pesathaan ninaithen,mudiyavillai
Nalindu vitta udal varudi nalam ketka thudithen, mudiyavillai
Indru un roja poo mugathil muthamida ninaikiren, mudiyavillai
Mutti varum kannerai mudivida ninaikiren,mudiyavillai

These lines just depict the longings of a mind which had lost its soul... The mindset of the person while uttering these lines, the way he longs for the extra time (may be a matter of minutes) which he could have got to spend with his\her loved one, the pain to understand that the loved one ceases to exist no more in his\her life, the intolerable pain created in the heart... These emotions were beautifully portrayed.. To say it in a word, 'marvelous'... Hoping to see such movies in the days to come !!!...

Back again with a nice quote !!!

Ohhh yeah.. Its been a month I have posted in here.. It all seemed like this novice blogger who started blogging during his hard times disappeared all of a sudden.. But I am back, hoping that I wont take any such long breaks here after.. Thanks to the new organisation I have joined in recently which kept me quite busy, thereby not allowing me to update my blog.. And also thanks to my "laziness" factor which also prevented me from blogging during weekends..

Over the past month I have had many topics to write about, but the laziness factor prevented me from doing that.. Screw my laziness.. hmph!!... So if you have a question in your mind now ( I am sure you would have got by now, if not, hit your head and scold yourself as to why that question dint arise :) ) as to what makes me write the post now.. I happened to skim through one of my friends profile in Orkut.. I found something peculiar in his "About Me" section.. This is the quote I found :

“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like '' Maybe we should be just friends '' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.”
-- Neil Gaiman

Dunno exactly why, but just through a glance of the quote I liked it soo much..Thats exactly why I am writing this post to share the quote with you people.. I wasn't sure as to who Neil Gaiman was initially.. Well in such situations, there comes our savior in the name 'Google'... A quick search gave me loads of links with the crux being that he is a famous author who has won quite a number of awards. For more information about him, just google his name.. The first link would lead you to his homepage..

P.S :- The value of the quote would be understood only by a select few ( the class of people gone through certain kind of experience :) lol!!! ).. Will be back soon with the dozens of topic which I have in my mind...

My Favourite Dialogue #3

Here comes my favourite dialogue from the movie 'The International'... The dialogue goes like this..

"Sometimes man meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it"

Certain things in life destined for you will come to you no matter whatever you do to avoid it.. Thats probably something called FATE.. On this note, I remember a famous dialogue from a Tamil movie "Vidhiyae madhiyala vela mudiyum nu ninaikkiriya ?!?!" :P which means 'Is it possible to overcome fate by wisdom?!'.. Question remains unanswered... :)

My Favourite Dialogue #2

Here comes my favourite dialogue from the movie 'Pirates of the Carribean : The Curse of the Black Pearl'... Though this dialogue doesnt have any philosophical meaning as was the previous favourite dialogue I had posted earlier, nevertheless, it was good to hear.. And it goes like this :

'The only rules that really matter are these.
What a man can do and What a man can't do..'

My Favourite Dialogue #1

Well, I got this crazy idea of posting up my favourite dialogues from the movies I happen to watch daily.. So I start with this movie ' The Escapist' .. The dialogue goes like this

"Imagination is what protects us, Its what keeps us alive"
That dialogue is almost very true practically.. If looked upon our lives deeply, its what imagination that keeps our whole life running.. A sick person imagines that he would get alright soon.. A defeated champion/team imagines that they would retain their title back soon.. A kid imagines that he would be soon become the hero of his dreams.. Imagination can be closely correlated with 'Hope'.. But definitely, Imagination is what gives life to hope.. Imagination is what gives wings to creativity.. Finally, an individual's character can be easily assessed by his imagination..

Test your Reading Skills...

I bet you are really great if you understand this quote on a single reading...

"People believe I am what they see Me as, rather than what they do not see. But I am the Great Unseen, not what I cause Myself to be in any particular moment. In a sense, I am what I am not. It is from the Am-notness that I come, and to it I always return"... ;)

A good sentence...

"You might think I’m random, but I’m only psuedorandom... you would be exactly this way, were you seeded at the very same time and place"...
