Just for Gags !!!

           Well , let me make this post a little interesting.. I am going to describe a character "Suppandi" (yeah, as kids we knew him very well.. don't we ?!).. Well, Suppandi is an average previous generation Indian.. Below, I have explained some scenarios and Suppandi's answers for those scenarios..

Scenario #1
A is employed as Team Lead in XYZ Corp., India (a unit of XYZ Corp. USA)
B is empoyed as Software Engineer in XYZ Corp., USA

Qn : Who is better employed ?
Ans : B, because he is staying in the US.

Scenario #2
A is working in a company called TCS
B is working in a company called AMD

Qn : Who is working in a good company ?
Ans : A, because TCS is only well known in India.

Scenario #3

Suppandi's Son (SS) : Dad, I want to study film making ?
Suppandi : What ?!?!.. Film making !?!!?!... Noooo way... U have to become a doctor or computer engineer...
SS : I am really interested in film making.. I want to pursue my career in it.. I want to make some classic movies..
Suppandi : Nooo way.. No father will give his daughter's hand to you then claiming that you are 'koothadhi'.. Society will speak bad of you...

Well, Suppandi again falls into a category of Indians who give more importance to what the society thinks rather than what he actually he thinks..

Scenario #4
Qn : What will you do if you have a billion dollars ?
Ans : I'll definitely start an engineeing college in Tamil Nadu !!!...

Well, for those people who thought these scenarios to be comical, please be noted that there are people with such attitude in India.. Cheers !! :)

Note : Suppandi is just a fictional character and does not resemble any person living or dead. Any resemblance is purely co-incidental !!!... :)

There are many things which money can't buy.... Let me jot down some things which I totally adore..

The smell of euclayptus in the cold breeze in the hills of ooty...
The smell of petrol while filling your vehicle....
The pleasure of driving my car for a long distance...
The sumptuous feeling on having mom's food after eating outside for 10 days...
The happiness felt on cooking my first 'dosa' !!! :) ...
The happiness that I grow as a writer day by day ....

My first Poem !!!

I have written a story which you people could find out way down the archives.. Now its time, I post a poem which I wrote.. And yeah, this is my first one ;) ... Well, I actually wrote this almost an year back.. I happened to see this again when I was browsing the files in my computer and hence I am posting it here !! ;)

In my heart, I feel a great pain ;
Dunno whether she'll let me explain !!
My heart always beat for her ;
I just don't wanna live without seeing her !!
I am just not able to express ;
But sure, I wanna impress !!
I just wanna walk with her in the rain;
Sharing our joy and pain !!
Without talking, I can't sleep for a night ;
Its like spending a day without a light !!
Oh lord !! I am waiting for a chance ;
For me n her to dance !!
I always want her to smile ;
It's a great pleasure seeing that for a while !!
I only see her, whenever I close my eyes ;
Guess she is an angel in disguise !!
Always around her, my heart swirls;
Because she is just the BEST among all the girls !!

             I dunno much about poetry.. These were just random thoughts which I had put down in the form of a poem.. Your comments are welcome !!! Ciao !! :)

Devoid !!!

I don't find anything strange that I could complain of.. But still, there is this feeling of "emptiness" wrapped around me.. Sometimes I wish I could shout deep down from my body, to get out of this "sans" feeling...

I have loads of stuff to do, but they tend to be monotonic..
I have loads of people around me, but fail to find a person whom I can talk my heart out..
I have loads of beautiful things happening around me, but I fail to admire its beauty..
I have everything around me, but I still find myself to be in a place devoid of something..
I have a job at hand which I love much, but still that doesn't make me happy..

           People who had watched the Tamil movie "Evano Oruvan", would be able to recollect the initial few scenes wherein his daily activities would be repeated in a sequence for quite sometime... I feel my life is goin down the same way.. I get up, I dress, I eat, I go to work, I come back, I eat, I browse, I sleep off !!!... This thing sucks.. I feel being in school/college was always nicer..

          I wish I could spread my wings, fly far off, dream, explore and discover !!!... I am sure I miss something, or is it that I miss someone !?!?!.. Life has not been the same recently, something which I am unable to unravel, something that keeps lurking me, something which eats me up... I MISS SOMETHING!!!.... I never really know why  I thought of sharing it here... Ciao !!!... Hoping to come out of this state, ready to discover!!!!...

Life in a Metro !!!

Hello people !!! I am back to blogging after a looong time, I guess not that long.. Okay, let me start scribbling in here.. This post, for sure, isn't about the movie "Life in a Metro".. Having lived in Bangalore for atleast an year now, I guess I am worthy enough to write this post..

So where do I begin with... Okay, you are always greeted by a group of people ready to empty your pockets as soon as you enter the city, be it airport, bus stands or railway station.. Let me describe my experience.. I landed in Bangalore on Nov 29, 2008.. Initially I was amazed by the Bangalore International Airport building, which was comparable to other International airports worldwide.. Well there was this guy at the arrival area, well dressed and good looking, offering a ride to the heart of the city for 1200 bucks.. Having turned down his offer, I walked a few 100 feet where I was offered a ride by another cab driver for 900 bucks.. Turning down his offer too, I kept walking another 500 metres or so, n yeah I still continued turning down the other offers on my way, where I boarded a comfortable Volvo bus cashing out 150 bucks..

Well, if its cab drivers for the airports, there are these auto-rickshaw drivers for the bus stands and railway stations waiting to rob all your money literally. Just as the bus comes to an halt, you can literally see atleast 15 auto drivers running towards the bus as if there was a bomb scare at that place.. These guys, with their speaking skills and familiarity with multiple languages, can easily charge you 160 bucks for a ride which normally (or legally) would cost 80 bucks.. Once entered the city, again you find thieves in the name of 'house owners' charging phenomenally high rents for places comparable to the size of matchboxes..

Once settled, life turns to be brighter for a couple of months... Those days in the super-sophisticated offices equipped with ultra-high speed internet, air-conditioned blocks (which includes restrooms too),ambient workplaces and finally to mention the lump sum being credited in your bank accounts at the end of the month are definitely a dream for any guy entering into the corporate world.. Bangalore has this special name "concrete jungle" for the umpteen corporate buildings that can be found in and around the city..

Life turns even more crazier during the weekends with a host of pubs (though I have been to only one), restaurants, not to forget the huge shopping malls sheltering almost every international brand (u name it, u ll find it) and the 'sophisticated' multiplexes charging you almost 200 bucks a movie for the extra cup holder and the lil pushback in your seat... But, yeah, at some point of time you have to console yourself for the heavy price, looking the ambience and maintenance of the place.. Its when I personally realised  that whatever you pay, restrooms in India can NEVER ever be clean..

And now, a treat for the guys, this place is populated with umpteen number of girls where ever you go.. Some modern, some cute, some smart, some hot and some totally haphazard with their weirdest dressing sense (the so called 'fashion')..

Well, hold on, let me place a bump here.. This maybe just for a few months, until you get bored of this obsession and starting hating the traffic, pollution and the extremely over-priced city of this.. Activities and places become monotonic..  It is at these times, I realize the worthiness of Coimbatore, the place where I have almost spent 20 years of my life.. Its serene environment with  cool weather is in no way match to this city 'Bangalore' (maybe thats what too much of sophistication could do to you)..Maybe one doesn't find the amount of sophistication and services back in Coimbatore as you find in here, but the simplicity very much tempts me.. Yet, I am left with no other option other than to move along with the tide, spending the rest of my life in this concrete jungle trying to discover new activities hopefully..

In short, the life in this metro turns out monotonic within a rapid time, always ready to rob off your money and health, irrespective of the facilities you find in here... Catch ya all soon with another post.. Ciao !!! ;)
