Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya - Out of words....

People said it would be on Feb 14th.. Later, they said it was Feb 19th.. Finally, it was released on Feb 26th.. Yes, "Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya" (English meaning - Will you cross the skies for me ?!) - one of the movies I was really looking forward to.. Reading the review, I came to know that it's a beautiful movie given that you have all the time on earth..

On seeing the movie, I almost fell in love with it.. If you are in for some tickling laughter, or some flesh exposure, I would strongly advice you not to watch it.. But rather,if you wanna experience the reality, or your one kinda person who thinks smaller things bring soo much happiness to life, I am sure you would love the movie  the way I did.. This movie is all about class and elegance- a reality happening in many households in India..

The storyline is simple - a Hindu guy and a Christian girl, in love with each other.. Do they get a chance to hold their hands together?.. Regular storyline isn't it ?!.. Ofcourse yes, but the difference lies in the way it's expressed...

I don't really get this whole attitude (not only this, but many) prevailing in India.. When people talk about globalisation, world being a global village - why is it still that an inter-caste marriage is not supported in here ?!.. Finally, we end up in this usual blame game and the readymade solutions - our "customs" are different....What really are these "customs" ?!  If you start doing things in a new way, for a long time, it becomes a custom.. Only that, we have hiccups to start doing things in a new way..

One major reason for this hiccup being - "naalu paerru naalu vidhama paessuvanga" .. For all the non-tamil folks, the meaning of the above sentence is this "Society will speak different things about you".. And usually, people who represent that "society" are : someone who might have seen you while you were boarding a train, someone who might have wished you "All the best" when you wrote your 1 std. exam, someone who visits your house once in two years, or in the worst-case it might be someone whom you knew all through your life.. Why is it we give importance to the views of these people whom you meet once in a lifetime, just for living your own life the way you want it to be.. Shocked, still !!!!!!

In short - Vinnaithaandi varuvaya - slow, but lovely storyline, elegant music, attractive Trisha, smart Simbu, blatant truth !!!....  Have some patience, notice the smaller things, it would make you fall in love...

The dialogue I liked in the movie :- "Don't search for love, it would come to you one day.. Will make you go in a roller coaster, thats love - true love"..

P.S :- I dunno to whom the following line is addressed to.. So let me address it to the girl whom I ll meet in the future... "I wanna spend the best days of my life with you.... Will you cross the skies for me ?!?!.... " ;)

The Three Words !!!!

It was a cold Sunday morning and the sound of the alarm distrubed Rahul's sleep.. It was thiry minutes past 5 in the morning and he had to force himself to get up giving up his heart's desire for those extra long 5 minutes of sleep.. Yet his face was full of enthusiasm and was basking in glory because today was the day he and Neha had planned to go to an hill station for her birthday.. They had planned to start their trip at 8 a.m in the morning.. He was so excited about the trip that he got ready by 7 a.m.. He had dressed himself up in his favourite denim jeans with a pleasing green coloured shirt..

He was 30 minutes prior schedule and was supposed to pick up Neha at 7.45 a.m in her apartment and start their holiday. Neha was a beautiful lady, a dream girl for any guy.. Her auburn coloured hair, naughty eyes and ever smiling face was a pleasure for anyone to see. She was understanding, caring, ambitious and a child at heart.. Rahul had always felt lucky to have Neha with him and they had planned to get married within a year's time.. This was the second birthday of Neha they were celebrating together and Rahul wanted to give her a surprise.. He had planned this holiday more than a month before and had done so much research, even more than what he did for his project, selecting the resort and the place..

The resort was located atop the hill surrounded by a calm, serene atmosphere.. The villa he had booked was constructed completely full of woods and glasses.. The villa was surrounded by thick, dense forests and the sound of trickling water from the near-by stream gave the extra rejuvenation suitable for a perfect holiday.. The aroma of spices and vegetation from the dense forests as the zephyr blows would make anyone forget oneself. It was the perfect place anyone could imagine of and Rahul was lucky enough to spend the holiday with his only love at this place..

He called Neha around 7.15 and she was equally as thrilled as Rahul was, which he could feel easily from her voice. Rahul said "Happy birthday dear, I can't wait no more to see you !! I am gonna start right away.. Love you sweetheart !!"... Rahul's voice was full of excitement when he uttered those words.. It was about 7.35 when Rahul reached Neha's apartment in his new car and gave her a call to let her know that he had reached the apartment..With the pleasant chill climate and the morning breeze blowing gently, this day was the most perfect day anyone could have wished for.. Amidst this gentle wind, Rahul caught the sight of Neha walking towards the car from her apartment.. She was looking totally angelic with her lavender coloured t-shirt and a black jeans.. The gentle wind caused her soft hair to sway which made her look even more beautiful..

Within a few moments, she reached the car and the emotions between them reached greater heights.. It was this moment that both of them had been waiting for !!.. Neha's cute smile made him go crazy and with the josh, Rahul started his car.. Rahul was new to driving on highway, but that did not bother him much..He turned on the music player and both were happily enjoying the ride along the highway..It was about 30 minutes since they started their journey and things had gone as planned..

All of a sudden, a loud beaming sound "BEEP BEEP BEEP !!!!"... The sound was increasing in intensity and Rahul was disturbed by this sound.. It was Rahul's mobile phone alarm..  He was full asleep and with his eyes half open, he realised all of it was a dream.. It was Neha's birthday and the holiday was supposedly planned for today, but she was not with him anymore.. Neha was killed in  a terrible accident last week.. Rahul was still not able to overcome her absence, the entire world seemed to be devoid of matter.. He had nothing much to do other than to accept the reality and cope up.. The sound of the alarm and the dream he had, haunted him for quite sometime.. With tears trickling down his cheeks, he painfully uttered the three words "I Miss You !!!" ....

P.S :- I wanted to try my skills in writing a story.. I had dreamt of it for a quite a long time and thought I could end up writing one day.. I hope everyone reading this liked it.. Your comments are welcome !!!

Are they really 'Emotional Idiots' ?!..

Well, Its a tough topic I am about to write about.. Its sensitive and I wish I am able to express it in the right way.. Moreover, its by fortune that I get to write about this topic on this particular day (Sept 19, due to personal reasons..) I just now happened to see the famous tamil debate show 'Neeya Naana' where the topic was "Is emotional attachment necesary ?!"..  But the topic isn't as simple as it sounds, I feel its quite complex something which requires an even more comprehensive discussion...

To begin with, the society has given this particular name 'emotional idiots' for the people who are emotionally attached.. Well, I think not all such people are idiots.. Its just that they are able to feel what the other party isn't able to.. People who tend to be emotionally attached are prone to shed tears if something hurts their emotions (or rather feelings).. This act of shedding tears earns them the name 'idiots'.. But lets try to see that from a different point of view.. You can smile at anyone you wish, irrespective of you like them or not from your heart.. But try shedding few drops of tear voluntarily, its impossible.. I guess, each one of you would accept this point.. As a result the only question that comes to my mind is 'Arent these tears  for someone/something who/which had entered the intimate personal circle of the human heart ?!.. Why should they be called as idiots ?!..'

Such so called 'emotional idiots'  are being visualised  as mere dilemmatic persons, surrounded by an aura of  indecisiveness, hopelessness and the most important term used now-a-days 'moving on with life'.. Well the most prominent reason I could ascertain for this misrepresentation of the person is plain anachronism.. The present world even if its beautiful with its nature and lovely people, has gone to this particular stage where materialism has become the order of the day.. There exists no real friendship as compared to the earlier days.. Let me stress on the words 'as compared to the earlier days'.. Thats my point of view, except for the blood relationship, the other present day relationships are kinda materialistic in one way or the other..

Some people belong to the latter category and there are another set of people belonging to the 'emotional idiot' category.. And the simultaneous presence of  people from both the categories in the communtiy is the major reason which I could ascribe to,  for such an issue which comes up to the level of tv debate shows.. The real solution is no one could be blamed actually.. Each has its own pros and cons.. Being emotional could help you understanding the true pleasure of feelings and love but at the same time it puts you at the risk of being hurt very easily. Being isolated from such emotional feelings may make you strong enough to face any crisis, be independent but it makes it difficult to place yourself in the other person's shoes or makes you a little materialistic..

Well, to be frank I was emotional earlier.. Words and actions offended me, though I could not actually blame the opposite side.. To them it might have been correct, but I have the right to blame only myself. I should have taken the effort to prevent myself from being offended.. Infact, I had cried for someone who had left me.. But I feel that doesn't make me an emotional idiot.. On the loss of something which was precious/importance to you, if you are an human, tears are natural.. The so called 'idiocy'  depends on the individual and his/her nature..

On an ending note, I feel that being emotional is good (not an idiocy absolutely), but to survive in this materialistic world where the mantra is 'survival of the fittest', you need to detach yourself emotionally from any person/object.. Learn to live independent.. As far as I am concerned or from what I have learned, there are only an elite circle of people with whom you could be emotional with. The elite circle would obviously be parents, spouse and children... Hope I dint bore you all reading this long post !!!.. Ciao !!! :)

Lets fall in LOVE !!!!

Love.. Does it need an introduction ?!.. The best feeling one can ever experience.. Say the word 'Love', Talk about 'Love', I bet you wouldn't have felt anything great.. Feel 'Love', you would have experienced the greatest pleasure on earth.. Maybe that's why even the smaller, lighter, trivial things/feelings between lovers seem very funny/comical for a third person.. These feelings when ditched mean a lot to the concerned.. I can say that 'Love' is purely a feeling which has no meaning other than feeling that comes with it..

I don't think anyone could actually define 'Love'.. Well, leaving apart the normal dialogue n stuff "Love is blind, Love is that, Love is this".. Think again, Is Love thats it ?!.. Isn't it something more ?!. Ever experienced the thousand butterflies flying within your body, just because you got a compliment from the ONE for a simple thing you did..Ever experienced the completeness it brings, when the ONE is with you... Ever experienced the longevity of time, when waiting for the ONE to meet after quite some time.. Ever experienced the shortness of time, when departing from the ONE.. Ever experienced the magnitude of happiness it brings, just to see the ONE wear a smile on their face.. Ever experienced the worthiness of 5 minutes, when the ONE says a bye.. Ever experienced the humungus pleasure, when holding the hands of the ONE.. Ever experienced the frustration, when you end up in a fight with the ONE.. Ever experienced the specialness, just beccause the ONE loves you so much in return.. Ever experienced the support of a shoulder, the ONE gives you when you are down..Ever experienced the emptiness of the world, when the ONE is not there with you...Well, I can keep going on.. These are just a few of the things which strike me now as I write this post.. If you haven't experienced such a feeling, you are missing something in life.. The beauty of love is that you come to know what it is all about only after experiencing it..

Well, in the previous paragraph, I hadn't typed the word 'ONE' in all capital letters without a meaning.. I do wanna stress on the fact that.. Only if its ONE, its called 'love', else its just plain 'lust' ( courtesy to Tamil Movie 'Nadhodigal') which I totally accept... I just liked the picture which I have added to this post so much.. On the first glimpse of the picture, this is what I could feel from it, "Two hearts, though they differ totally in texture, colour, material, appearance (could be compared to two persons with different attitude, different nature, different behavior), yet they are attached together soo much.." To find another person who is an exact replica of you is difficult.. It is the ONE (who is totally different from you) who will compensate you for your negatives, praise you for your positives, stand for you, be with you no matter what just like the two hearts which are together in this picture..

People often say 'Love' to be a waste of time.. I have to disagree with it.. I would rather put it as love shouldn't be a 'priority' and also it shouldnt be neglected as 'unnecessary'... It makes life worth living.. I wanted to write about 'Love' for quite sometime.. I am happy to have seen this picture, which pushed me to write this post at once.. Love is the one thing which adds all the flavour to the intimate things in life.. I would like end the post with the quote "Love makes Life Beautiful".. :)

P.S :- My favourite line from a song "In your arms, I still feel the way you want me, when you hold me !!!".. The song is "Forever and for always" by Shania Twain.. If interested, please do check out the video on YouTube.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjOdr5hs-BU

Awesome Lyrics...

If you ever happened to lose someone who was so precious to you, Just spare a few minutes reading the lyrics of the song 'Just Walk Away' by Celine Dion... Its so awesome..

I know I never loved this way before
And no one else has loved me more
With you I've laughed and cried
I have lived and died
What I wouldn't do just to be with you

I know I must forget you and go on
I can't hold back my tears too long
Though life won't be the same
I've got to take the blame
And find the strenght I need to let you go

Just walk away
Just say goodbye
Don't turn around now you may see me cry
I mustn't fall apart
Or show my broken heart
Or the love I feel for you

So walk away
And close the door
And let my life be as it was before
And I'll never never know
Just how I let you go
But there's nothing left to say
Just walk away

There'll never be a moment I'll regret
I've loved you since the day we met
For all the love you gave
And all the love we made
I know I've got to find the strenght to say

Just walk away
Just say goodbye
Don't turn around now you may see me cry
I mustn't fall apart
Or show my broken heart
Or the love I feel for you

So walk away
And close the door
And let my life be as it was before
And I'll never never know
Just how I let you go
But there's nothing left to say
Just walk away
