True, Indeed...

For the past week or two, I kept myself pre-occupied with a book titled “34 Bubblegums and Candies” – a compilation of real life stories.. Gazing at the books in Landmark, this book’s title attracted me and a quick read through the preface, literally grabbed my mind to buy rite away..

Well, this book for sure, is a kind of “Chicken Soup for Indian Soul”.. I tried reading Chicken Soup for Indian Soul a couple of times, but that didn’t grab my attention as this one did.. The words in here were neatly written and it was a good read altogether.. Its always nice to hear/read some personal experiences, so that you can really learn from other’s mistakes.. If not “learn”, at least be “aware” of how things could turn out to be..

I can go on and on about this book, but let me try to keep things simple and be bang on my point.. The last chapter of this book almost made my eyes watery..  I read a sentence “Laugh and others will laugh with you; Cry and you cry alone”..  Through my personal experiences, I can strongly defend those words..

Going a few years back, I wouldn’t mind if someone teased me.. I personally felt that it brings in some sense of intimacy and also sparks up a lil bit of friendship… Recently, I realised how naive I have been all these years.. The hard truth was, some found me as an “amusement” or probably some “entertainment” thingy..And even worse, these “some” were whom I had trusted..  I have had similar experiences as the author.. "Some" who were with me all through the first 3 years of my college, avoided me in the final days.. The reason being “You are no more fun to be with”.. My reaction “ :| “… What else could I have done ?!..

People’s true colour are exposed when you are in a real problem.. “Every one who laughs with you is not your friend”.. Yet another line from the book, and how true it is.. Its been more than year now and hardly do I regret the happenings, and appreciate the fact that “Life minus Fake people” is always nice.. :)
