F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Let me just pen down my thoughts about the magical word "friends" based out of my own experiences.. Where do I start with, well I have come across lot of people.. People from different geographic locations across India,from different backgrounds and different attitude.. Though I have come across such a large group and maintain a fairly decent and good relationship with almost 98% of them, I do posses only a very few elite group of close ones whom I share my real thoughts with... The main reason can be attributed to my reserved nature ( maybe because I am the only kid for my parents and I have spent much time alone, so I have kinda preferred loneliness many a time)...

Before you go ahead with this post, I would like to say that the post you are about to read is purely out of my own experiences... I do respect friendship and also love it..It should also to be noted that there are always a bunch of bad amongst every good... There is a famous saying which goes like " A man can be judged by the company he keeps".. So, as I have heard frequently, I have to accept that friends are ofcourse a beautiful part of life.. They change our lives, they have been with us in times of need and have sometimes helped us achieved our dreams, motives...

Out of all the friends we get all through our life, I feel the ones you get in school are always special.. They be with you just for the person who you are.. I say so because, when we were kids, the friends we get, be with us for just the person whom we are.. Such friendship doesnt see your social status, they still exist no matter what you become in the future, they pull your legs but make sure they be with you when you really fall..

Now, from this part of the post (or atleast for this part of the post) is where my total idea is gonna change.. The days of my college life.. It was indeed some bad experience for me(not totally though).. Unluckily, the first person whom I met in college and the one whom I trusted like anything ended up to be the traitor after a whole long four years.. In those span of four years, I have pretty much been as good I could be, let him pull my leg ( thinking that he ll be there with me when I fall down really, infact he had been during the intial period) only to find that he would be ready to dump me just because he thought being a friend of mine would spoil his so called "reputation" with the other group of his to whom "fun" meant a lot more than "true feelings"... Yet again I met another person who would totally portray the line from the tamil song which goes "pachai kulandhai endru paalu oothi vazhthaen, pala kudichitu paambattam kuthudhadhi"... Then there was this person who behaves according to the situation.. Infact there are a lot many people belonging to the latter category who spend most of the time talking bad abt X to Y and vice-versa... I wonder why they dont get the courage to say their original opinion rather wear a "facial mask" to gain the masses...

Thankfully, I had also got real friends during this period who really had been with me during the end of college life taking me out and far away from the blue.. I had given lesser importance to them during the course of the period, yet they stood by me when I needed someone to get up.. Tonnes of thanks to them and their benevolence will be remembered always !!!!... The entire clan of friends I have obtained so far have taught me a lot of things.. These experiences have defintiely moulded me better, taught me on reading people more, how good they can be, how bad they can be,how people change through time etc... I am thankful for meeting the bad ones as well as the wonderful ones... Wonderful ones have kept me happy always but the bad ones have taught me more than what the wonderful ones have taught..

P.S :- I have been getting back in touch with a lot of school friends in the past few weeks which made me feel that I should write a post on "FRIENDS"... As I am pretty open-minded, I dint feel like I should hide my bad experiences in this post.. Kudos to all the best friends out there in the world !!!... My salutes to you !!!...

Sans Craze, No Life

Last month, when I was in some sort of deep thoughts, I realized that without craze, there is no life. This pushed me to write this post 'Sans Craze, No Life'...Well, a quick search of the word 'craze' in the Merriam-Webster dictionary ended up with the result "an exaggerated and often transient enthusiasm".. So where does this craziness start in our life.. It never starts, if observed closely, its born us, bonded with us from birth till death.

There occurs craze for numerous things, be it tangible or intangible. The emotions which arise because of this craze gets matured as one grows up. If someone has a craze for something, they make sure they attain /achieve what they wished for, no matter what stops them.

A just born kid which tries very hard to crawl, talk or walk for the first time can be taken as the first craze which one shows explicitly. I have observed the amount of joy it brings to just-born kids when they try to stand up on their own, roll their body once on the floor.. Such a craze to do such things brings them immense pleasure.

As days go by, as school kids, we all had the craze to do all the naughtiest possible things on earth.. The craze for swinging in a swing, catching a rope and flying, kicking our friends,getting a candy, having fever just because you can bunk school or even as simple as sliding down a slide brings immense joy, which now looked upon may bring us a plain laughter.. Well there exists a craze for truck load of other things which I am sure would take more than a page to mention.

As teens, we develop a craziness towards driving a bike/car, having friends of the opposite sex, bunking class to watch a movie, possessing the latest and cool tech stuff, long drives with friends, late night chats and flirts with friends of the opposite sex, making oneself look fashionable, to win a girl's heart etc. During the late teens, there comes some sort of craze embedded with responsibility to find oneself positioned with a good status in a society.

Once graduated from college, the craze becomes a little dormant. The main reason is, the maturity level within makes us think twice whether this craze is really necessary. Yet still, our hearts win majority of the times, just because our human heart desires more sophistication even though the mind thinks its unnecessary. The craze at this part of life arises mostly out of necessity rather than just for the 'fun' quotient associated with it. People have a craze to become a entrepreneur or get a job in their dream organization. Once settled professionally, there arises a craze towards owning materialistic possessions, going on a holiday trip, owning a new car, the way to bring up kids, making comforts for the dependents etc. I am not able to quote more examples for this part of life as I haven't experienced it myself.

It seems, we have been and will be, so crazy all through our life, be it for petty matters or for matters which determine our standards of life. If not for the craze for inventing new things, we wouldn't live in a world with so much sophistication. This craze among different individuals has infact led to a kind of competition in which the person who dares and thinks intelligently often turns out to be the winner. In short, this craze has lead us to many races all through our life, some races which we have won and some which we have lost.

To conclude with, the most beautiful part of this craze is that, it dwells only for a short amount of time. A craze which you had in one part of life doesn't fantasize you much as you move on to the next part of it. For example, a teenager wont find swinging in a swing as joyful as he did when he was a school kid. I am not able to imagine a life without such little craze, which means a lot during the course of life.. Thats why I feel "Sans Craze, No Life!~!~!~!"

Back again with a nice quote !!!

Ohhh yeah.. Its been a month I have posted in here.. It all seemed like this novice blogger who started blogging during his hard times disappeared all of a sudden.. But I am back, hoping that I wont take any such long breaks here after.. Thanks to the new organisation I have joined in recently which kept me quite busy, thereby not allowing me to update my blog.. And also thanks to my "laziness" factor which also prevented me from blogging during weekends..

Over the past month I have had many topics to write about, but the laziness factor prevented me from doing that.. Screw my laziness.. hmph!!... So if you have a question in your mind now ( I am sure you would have got by now, if not, hit your head and scold yourself as to why that question dint arise :) ) as to what makes me write the post now.. I happened to skim through one of my friends profile in Orkut.. I found something peculiar in his "About Me" section.. This is the quote I found :

Dunno exactly why, but just through a glance of the quote I liked it soo much..Thats exactly why I am writing this post to share the quote with you people.. I wasn't sure as to who Neil Gaiman was initially.. Well in such situations, there comes our savior in the name 'Google'... P.S :- The value of the quote would be understood only by a select few ( the class of people gone through certain kind of experience :) lol!!! ).. Will be back soon with the dozens of topic which I have in my mind...

My Favourite Dialogue #3

Here comes my favourite dialogue from the movie 'The International'... The dialogue goes like this..

Certain things in life destined for you will come to you no matter whatever you do to avoid it.. Thats probably something called FATE.. On this note, I remember a famous dialogue from a Tamil movie "Vidhiyae madhiyala vela mudiyum nu ninaikkiriya ?!?!" :P which means 'Is it possible to overcome fate by wisdom?!'.. Question remains unanswered... :)

An apt Reward !!!!

It would be comical to deny that I don't like appreciation or rewards, because no one works without an exceptation for appreciation.. But I fell into some form of deep thoughts, thinking what exactly do you term as an 'apt' reward.. Is it monetary benefits, material benefits, trophies, certificates, applause, etc. etc. ?!..

I have read somewhere which says trophies gather dust over the years.. Applause dies down as time passes.. Material benefits undergo depreciation as time goes along.. Monetary benefits help for a very short period of time as they get spent.. A perfect and even the most prestigious award which I feel the best would be being called as ' A Gentleman' ...

Be it sports, be it business, be it education, be it arts, be it in any form or profession, character is what the most important asset of a human.. Ability to win people's heart without breaking one, without back-biting, without speaking according to situations and winning accolades is obviously the ideal one who deserves such an reward.. More than a well known person calling you 'Gentleman', if a person less known to you (say a third person) calls you so, its even more meaningful !!!... Such an reward gives some meaning to your life rather than all the material benefits possessed...

My Favourite Dialogue #1

Well, I got this crazy idea of posting up my favourite dialogues from the movies I happen to watch daily.. So I start with this movie ' The Escapist' .. The dialogue goes like this

"Imagination is what protects us, Its what keeps us alive"

That dialogue is almost very true practically.. If looked upon our lives deeply, its what imagination that keeps our whole life running.. A sick person imagines that he would get alright soon.. A defeated champion/team imagines that they would retain their title back soon.. A kid imagines that he would be soon become the hero of his dreams.. Imagination can be closely correlated with 'Hope'.. But definitely, Imagination is what gives life to hope.. Imagination is what gives wings to creativity.. Finally, an individual's character can be easily assessed by his imagination..

Life @ Intel...

Well, where do I start with about with this post, It was a long pending one in my mind except for the fact I dint have the sufficient time to pen down... Intel ( INTegrated ELectronics) obviously remains to be the dream shot for any electronics engineer.. And am obviously proud to say I had the opportunity to work and start my career with Intel as an Intern.. Intel had always been one of my dream companies... I still remember the days when I was a kid when I used to tell my mom that I would work in Intel one day.. Luckily I had to start my career with it.. Happy that lucky star shone on me with this ;)...

Being an Intern, my work wasn't that burdensome.. As I had mentioned in my previous post, the work assigned to me demanded more of my physical presence... As it goes, to become a king one day you need to start all the way from down.. Well my attitude basically is that,

"You have to become a king on your own... Start all the way from scratch.. Make it happen.. It takes time.. But still, make it happen BIG"....

The work I did became monotonous as days passed by, but never-the-less the learning curve wasn't a perfect flat line ;).. I had an opportunity to learn something new... Apart from the work, the environment at Intel was awesome..There was no such prominent senior-junior stuff among the employees.. We, interns, were treated equally as employees and where allowed to enjoy every right the employees possessed..The infrastructure, amenities, employee benefits, organisation was way too good..

Wish I hadn't gone through the mental trauma due to personal reasons during the internship, which would have made me enjoy the Life @ Intel to the fullest... In-short, life @ Intel was some fun..

Pirates of the Silicon Valley (Animated Version)...

Here's another video on a funny fight between Steve Jobs (Apple Inc.) and Bill Gates (Microsoft Corp.)... Both of them fight against each other to decide whether the iPhone or the Windows rock.. The concept of iHouse is too eccentric though :) ... Check this out and have fun too... This video very well reminds of the famous movie "Pirates of the Silicon Valley".. Probably this video could be tagged in as its animated form ;)...
